Carolina Pozo

Carolina earned her degree in Economics from York University in Toronto and a Master’s in Public Policy & Management from Università Bocconi in Milan. 

A recognized social innovation expert, she was selected for the Global Competitiveness Leadership Program at Georgetown University and was part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community. As founder of MUZE, she is a member of the NYS Center of Excellence for Food and Agriculture at Cornell University–AgriTech and earned a certificate in Food Development from Cornell. 

She is also the founder of AVANTI, a nonprofit organization focused on fostering sustainable development in rural Ecuador. Her work bridges public policy, innovation, and impact-driven entrepreneurship. 

Gabriela Pozo

Gabriela is a chocolate expert and Certified Professional Sommelier with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of fine chocolate, wine, culture, and sensory education. She is the Founder and President of the Ecuadorian Association of Sommeliers (AESOMM), where she has played a pivotal role in professionalizing and elevating the sommelier community in Ecuador.

A specialist in culinary and cultural experience design, Gabriela is renowned for her work in chocolate and wine competitions, curating and judging experiences that celebrate terroir, craftsmanship, and sensory excellence. Her career spans more than a decade and
a half in wine and chocolate sales and distribution, strategic partnerships, and high-level business relations, working across producers, brands, institutions, and global markets.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities with a specialization in Communications, grounding her technical mastery in storytelling, education, and public engagement.
