Bringing Cocoa to Life: Storytelling for Chocopreneurs
Benjamin Setor Gbadago is a supply chain storyteller and cultural researcher who is using narrative to humanize the cocoa industry from the ground up. His mission is to bridge the cultural and knowledge gap between chocolate lovers and cocoa producers, using stories as a tool to build empathy, shift narratives, and make supply chains personal.
As the founder of African Cocoa Stories, Benjamin is traveling to cocoa-producing communities across Africa to document and share the lived experiences of farmers, bringing their faces and voices to the center of global conversations on sustainability and transparency in the chocolate industry.
His storytelling has reached audiences at Clasen Quality Chocolate (US), Chocolate Has a Name (UK), Harvard University, Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), and Leiden University (Netherlands). He has also been a guest speaker at virtual chocolate tastings with Estelle Tracy of 37 Chocolates and Nettie Atkisson of Small Batch Education.
Benjamin lives in Asamankese in Ghana’s Eastern Region, surrounded by lush forests and cocoa plantations. He is a passionate photographer. Always curious about people. And he loves the thrill of discovering something surprising about his many cocoa farmer neighbors.
