Georgia's fifth annual GLOBE (Georgia Launching Opportunities by Exporting) Award recognizes 40 companies who entered into a new international market in 2017. The 2018 winners are located across the state with employment ranging from 2 to 4000. Approximately 75% of the winners are small businesses with 100 employees or less. GLOBE winners collectively expanded their sales into 84 new countries and territories during 2017. Some of the more active markets include Colombia, Canada and the United Kingdom. Six of the 2018 GLOBE winners were first time exporters.
Governor Nathan Deal honored this year's GLOBE Award Winners in March at the 2018 Go Global Reception held at the Atlanta History Center.
